As I said in my last post about marketing – ‘there’s no point unless you are absolutely in love with your book and have an absolute passion and zeal to market it once it’s printed!’ Your enthusiasm and zeal for your book is an essential ingredient for success!
I loved and still do love doing my art/craft / DIY group with school aged girls every fortnight. I loved it so much I put the activities we have been doing over the last 5 years or so in Tessa’s Books Of Elegance. This enthusiasm for the beautiful activities we do encourages me to keep on writing books for the series: Tessa’s Books Of Elegance. And I truly believe that my books will yield lasting talents – for children to pass on to their children and so on.
I don’t have to pretend to be enthused about my books, I don’t need to be hyped up to sell them or meet sales targets for the board – My enthusiasm, zeal and passion are real!
This is the same for anyone who is in business - you’ve had the vision, you’ve done the research, you’ve had late nights or early mornings at the laptop, you’re the one furiously scribbling notes on something you’ve found in your bag or using voice to text in notes on your phone, you’ve had the excitement in seeing it coming together piece by piece – so use that same enthusiasm and zeal to market your business – it will catch on!
